The Red Oak Country Club ranks among one of the best in the western Iowa golf community. The club features a lounge, full service restaurant, swimming pool, game room, and a driving range. The club host several club sponsored tournaments and parties for members throughout the year. Golf lessons and junior golf programs are also offered throughout the year.
The Red Oak Country Club boasts an 18 hole, par 72, championship golf course that is easily one of the most beautiful and challenging courses located in western Iowa. The course spans 6,176 yards for a rating of 70.5 and a slope of 124 from the championship tees. There are four tee distances to accommodate players of all ages and skill levels. The course is carved among gorgeous natural scenery. Players will encounter water hazards, sand traps, doglegs, and blind shots to the greens. All along a beautiful course through mature trees and up and down the fairway elevations.
Club Rules & Regulations
GENERAL
These Rules and Regulations, provided by the Board of Directors, govern all Members and their Family and Guests.
The Board of Directors reserves the right to amend these Rules and Regulations at any time at its sole discretion.
The hours and days of operation of all the club facilities are subject to change at the discretion of the Club Management. Club Facilities will open and close at different hours depending on the season and planned activities. Hours and days of operation will be posted in the Clubhouse.
Members and their Guests are not allowed to abuse, reprimand, or discipline any of the Club’s employees, verbally or otherwise.
No dogs or other pets are allowed on the Club premises.
Smoking and consumption of alcohol is permitted only in designated areas.
The Board of Directors reserves the rights to prohibit any games, sports, or other activities which, at their discretion, may be considered unsuitable to the members, guests, or the Club.
Parking of vehicles within the Club premises is strictly regulated.
The Club is under no obligation to furnish a roster or list of Members of the Club to any Member.
The Club will not be responsible for any damage or loss to the personal property of Members and Guests.
Violation of any of these rules, or conduct in a manner prejudicial to the best interests of the Club, will subject the person in violation to disciplinary action in accordance with the Membership Agreement, and Rules and Regulations of the Club.
LOSS OR DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY OR INSTANCES OF PERSONAL INJURY
Each Member and their Family, and Guests assumes sole responsibility for their property. The Club shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to any private property used or stored on the premises of the Club.
Property or furniture belonging to the Club shall not be removed from the room in which it is placed or from the Club premises, without proper authorization. Members and their guests shall be liable for any property damage and/or personal injury at the club.
Any Member, Family, Guest or any other being who, in any manner, makes use of, or accepts the use of, any apparatus, appliance, facility, privilege or service whatsoever owned, leased or operated, organized, arranged or sponsored by the Club, either on or off the Club’s premises, shall do so at their own risk.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Outside catering is not permitted. All food and beverage consumed on the Club premises must be furnished by the Club unless it has been specifically exempted by the Club Manager.
Employees of the Club are permitted to deliver food or beverages only to designated locations of the Club.
CHILDREN
Children under eight (8) years of age are not allowed in the Clubhouse unless accompanied by an adult.
ATTIRE
It is expected that Members and Guests will choose to dress in a fashion befitting the surroundings and atmosphere provided in the setting of the Club and/or Event and be appropriately attired.
Gentlemen golfers are requested to wear Polos and no cut offs or denims.
Golf Shoes may only be worn in identified areas, and the Golf Course.
Visitors must not sleep in the lounge or place their feet on the furniture at the Club house.
Metal spikes are not allowed.
SOLICITATION AND SUBSCRIPTION
No Member shall give the address of the Club in any advertisement or otherwise use the Club premises for conducting any business without explicit approval from the Club Manager. All posted advertisements in the Clubhouse are approved at the discretion of the Club Manager. Petitions shall not be originated, solicited, circulated or posted on any property of the Club.
GOLF RULES
The Rules and Etiquette as adopted by the U.S.G.A (United States Golf Association) and R&A (Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews) shall be the rules of the Club. The local rules are indicated on the Score Card.
All Guests must register at the Clubhouse upon arrival to play Golf on all days before beginning play.
“Cutting-in” is not permitted at any time. Play is to begin only on the #1 tee. Start from the #10 tee may only be approved by Club Management. Under no circumstances will players be permitted to start the play from any other hole.
Practice is not allowed on the Golf Course. Players should not have more than one ball in play at any time. The Driving Range and Practice Putting Green should be used for all practice.
If a four-ball or other group of players fail to keep their pace of play on the course, they must allow the following group to play through.
All players who stop temporarily during the play for any reason, must occupy the next Tee before the following group arrives at the Tee, or they will have to allow the following group to play through.
All golfers are expected to repair pitch marks on greens, replace divots , rake sand traps, and place trash in containers provided on the Golf Course.
The sale of Golf balls by unauthorized persons on the Golf Course & Club premises is not allowed at any time.
Each player on the course must have their own set of Golf clubs.
Appropriate Golf attire is required for all players.
If there is lightning in the area, all play shall be suspended.
The Golf Course Manager has complete authority to open and close the course to play, and permit Golf carts on the Course at their discretion, and their decision in this matter will be final.
In order to provide the utmost playing pleasure for all members and their guests, the Club reserves the right, from time to time, to modify or establish different rules governing access to the Golf Course.
Parties and singles may be grouped with other players, if available.
Special events designated by the Red Oak Country Club will take preference over normally scheduled tee times when considered appropriate by Club Management.
DRIVING RANGE
The driving range is open during normal operating hours as posted in the Clubhouse.
Range balls are for use at the driving range only. Range balls are not permitted on the Golf Course.
Each player using the driving range may obtain range balls at the Clubhouse.
Balls must be hit from designated areas only. No hitting is permitted from the rough or sides of the driving range.
Proper Golf attire is required at all times at the driving range.
GOLF CART RULES
Golf carts cannot be used off the Golf Course.
Only two players and two sets of Golf clubs are permitted per Golf cart.
Members and Guests must obey all golf cart traffic signs and use the Golf cart paths near tees and greens.
Cart must not be driven beyond designated markers on the Golf Course.
Except on cart paths, carts may not be driven, within thirty feet of a green, a tee or a bunker.
Golf carts are not to be driven through a hazard.
Soft areas to be avoided on fairways, especially after rains. Roughs to be used wherever possible.
The Member or Guest using a Golf cart accepts and assumes all responsibility for liability connected with operation of the Golf cart.
Violations of Golf cart rules may result in the suspension of playing privileges.
HANDICAPS
Handicaps are computed under the supervision of the Golf Operations department of the Club, in accordance with the current Handicap System.
All Members with an approved handicap may participate in Club “Member Only” tournaments. Members and Guests who participate in Club “Open” tournaments must have an approved handicap. All handicaps submitted may be reviewed by the Club Management.
To establish a handicap, a Member must have turned in a minimum of five scores. Members are responsible for turning in all their scores on a daily basis. Any Member failing to turn in a score will result in a score being posted that is equal to their lowest score on record.
SWIMMING POOL
- All Guests must check in at the Clubhouse and are responsible for payment of applicable charges.
- All guests must at all times be accompanied by the member. Up to 2 guests per member per visit are allowed.
- All persons using the pool do so at their own risk. The Club accepts no responsibility for any injury, death or loss associated with the use of the pool.
- Diving is allowed from designated platform only.
- If a lifeguard is not on duty, the use of the pool is not permitted for children under the age of 12.
- Swimming is permitted only during the published open hours of the pool. The pool is officially closed when a ‘closed’ sign is posted.
- All persons must shower before entering the pool.
- Appropriate swimwear must be worn in the pool.
- The wearing of bathing suits will not be permitted in any part of the Club other than the immediate pool area and locker rooms.
- Do not use while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Any person carrying an injury or affliction must not use the pool.
- Children wearing diapers are not permitted in the pool / Children wearing diapers shall wear rubber pants or swim diapers while in the pool.
- Children under 12 years of age or those without adequate swimming ability are permitted to use the pool facilities only if accompanied and supervised by an adult – parent or guardian.
- Running or horseplay in or around the pool is not permitted.
- No pets allowed.
- Food and Drinks are not permitted in pool.
- Glass objects, drinking glasses, beverage coolers and sharp objects are not permitted in the pool area.
- Floatation devices are permitted for non-swimming children up to the age of five years. Small toys such as balls, water guns etc. may be permitted depending on the number of persons in the pool and the manner in which the toys are used. Tubes are not permitted. Air mattresses are not permitted.
- All persons using the pool furniture must cover the furniture with a towel when using suntan lotions. The use of these preparations may stain & damage the furniture.
- All persons using the pool area are urged to cooperate in keeping the area clean by properly disposing off towels and trash.
- The Club reserves the right to refuse entry, and its personnel shall have full authority to enforce these rules & regulations.
